Center for the Built Environment (CBE)
Research website design and content development
Project Description
The Center for the Built Environment (CBE) is an Industry/University
Cooperative Research Center at the University of California, Berkeley.
In collaboration with its sponsoring industry partners, the Center produces
research on topics related to energy and occupant satisfaction in commercial
buildings.
The Center's website is used to disseminate results of its research, and for providing information to potential industry partners. The site serves multiple audiences, including industry partners, architects, engineers, researchers, students, and the building industry at large. To serve these diverse audiences, the Center's technical topics have been distilled into concise research summaries. These summaries include the status, objective, and significance of each project, with links to relevant papers, presentations, and resources
My role: Site architecture and design, editing, and
photography. Since joining CBE I have launched two redesigns of the site, and
launched several secondary sites, including the Underfloor Air Technology website.
